Rehobot Hydraulics, based in Eskilstuna, develops, manufactures and sells innovative products and systems in high pressure hydraulics for use in service and maintenance applications. The company, which is the market leader in the Nordics, exports its products all over the world with sales in around 50 countries. Rehobot Hydraulics traces its roots to 1924 and has since offered products and solutions that include high pressure hydraulic pumps, cylinders, tools and rescue equipment. Rehobot Hydraulics, through sister companies, has its own sales offices and warehouses in the USA and the UK.
The group also includes Simson Power Tools, based in Hofors, which already in the mid-1950s developed a hydraulic jack that combined low weight with high lifting capacity. In the decades since then, much has changed, although the principle remains the same: combining great power with good design and high quality. Simson Power Tools has, through sister companies, its own sales office and warehouse in Germany.
Kjell-Roger Holmström, CEO of Obadja AB and former owner, says: “The Rehobot group has a nearly hundred-year history and, with these two brands, forms part of Swedish industrial history. It has been a decisive factor in the sales process to ensure that the companies get solid conditions to continue their journey with high quality and production in Sweden. The Rehobot Group has a competent and knowledgeable staff and it is my strong conviction that J2L Holding AB is the right owner to continue to build on and develop Rehobot in the best possible way.”
J2L Holding AB is a family-owned investment company that long-term runs and develops small to medium-sized companies with a focus on industrial and trading companies.
Johan Lindh, CEO of J2L Holding AB, says: “With its long history and solid knowledge, the Rehobot group has created products that are synonymous with quality and sustainability for customers. We are very happy to become the new owners of the Rehobot Group and look forward to, together with management and staff, creating the conditions to successfully continue the almost century-long journey that the company has embarked on.”
