The company specializes in vehicle batteries and stationary batteries for alarm and emergency power solutions. Creades took over the holding in Global in connection with the split between Creades and Öresund 2012. The original investment in Global was made in 2010.
“Global is our only subsidiary that entered the portfolio as part of the legacy from Öresund. We are convinced that J2L is a very suitable owner to continue developing the company in the positive direction as CEO Stefan Bohman has stood out recently,” says Creade’s CEO John Hedberg.
“We are happy about the opportunity to continue developing Global together with CEO Stefan Bohman. Global has a clear niche and market position that matches well with what we are looking for in new investments,” says J2L’s CEO Johan Lindh.
The purchase price for 100% of the company’s shares is SEK 36m and will be paid in cash. The deal results in a reduction of Created net worth of 0.3%. The transaction is therefore not of such a nature that it is covered by disclosure obligation for Creades according to the EU market abuse regulation.
Access Partners has run the sales process on behalf of Creade and the parties have had legal advice from Glimstedt (Creades) and Hansen law (J2L).
